Team Leaders

	Guy Bodine is the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Vantage Bank Texas. Mr. Bodine started his banking career with Austin National Bank in 1965 and entered that bank’s management training program in 1969. He held a variety of lending, management and senior management positions throughout and in 1984 was named President of the Austin General Banking Division. He held that position until 1990 when he was promoted to Commercial Banking Executive for Texas. In 1999, he was named President and Consumer Banking Executive for Texas with Bank of America. This was shortly followed by his promotion in 2000 to Commercial Growth Executive for the 10 state Central Banking Region. Following his 37-year banking career in Texas, Mr. Bodine joined Wachovia as the Chief Executive Officer of the Central Banking Group of Wachovia Bank and was a Senior Executive for all Wachovia’s business segments operating in the region, which covered four states: Texas, Colorado, Kansas and Illinois beginning in 2004. Mr. Bodine has been an active member of the Texas communities in which he has lived and currently serves on the Governor’s Business Council. He is an immediate past member of the Southern Methodist University Tate Distinguished Lecture Series Board of Directors. He is a former Vice Chairman of the regional bankers committee for the Texas Bankers Association Board of Directors and has served on the Board of Trustees for the United Way of Dallas, San Antonio and Austin. He is a former Chairman of the Board of Trustees of St. Edward’s University in Austin, where he led the University through its most ambitious fundraising period in school history and now holds the title of Trustee Emeritus. Mr. Bodine is a graduate of St. Edward’s University with a degree in Business Administration. In addition, he is a graduate of both the National Commercial Lending School and the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking. He has also attended The Center for Creative Leadership’s “Leadership at the Peak” program and The Tathum Group’s Process Management School.
	Doug Bready is an Advisory Board Member and Regional President of the Rio Grande Valley, Coastal Bend for Vantage Bank Texas. Mr. Bready has been in the banking industry for over 24 years. He initially worked with the DuPont Company in Mississippi and West Virginia. During his banking career, he served on the Board of Directors for the Texas State Bank in McAllen, a member of Texas Regional Bancshares, Inc. In addition, Mr. Bready provided commercial lending expertise to a wide range of business ventures. Mr. Bready is an Eagle Scout and has served on numerous boards for a variety of community service organizations; including the Rio Grande Council Boy Scouts, where he was Council President, the America Fellowship of Christian Athletes and many others. Mr. Bready earned a Bachelor in Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Texas. He also attended the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking, graduating with Distinction.
	Kara Flores is the Manager of Deposit Operations, Bank Cashier and Senior Vice President for Vantage Bank Texas. She has over 17 years of banking industry experience. Prior to joining Vantage Bank Texas, she served as Vice President of Deposit Operations Texas with Comerica Bank . Prior to Comerica Bank, she served as Vice President for Citibank, holding various customer service, operational, and training positions throughout her career with Citibank. Mrs. Flores earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management, Magna Cum Laude from Incarnate Word University.
	Shawn Main is the IT Director and a Senior Vice President for Vantage Bank Texas. He has been in the banking industry for over 10 years. Prior to joining Vantage Bank Texas, Mr. Main was a lead developer and Business Analyst for Rackspace Managed Hosting. He was also Chief Information Officer for McMullen Bank. Mr. Main is currently the Advisory Director of Technology for several companies such as Agape Roofing, Scenic Springs Wedding Site and Spa, Scharf Real Estate, and New Beginning’s Diet Clinic. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems from the University of Texas in San Antonio.
	Timothy L. Morris is an Advisory Board Member for Vantage Bank Texas. He is the Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer for Vantage Bank Texas. Mr. Morris is a RMA Texas Chapter Board of Director, RMA Rio Grande Valley Chapter previous Chairman and Board of Director, RMA Rio Grande Valley Chapter Ambassador, and RMA Community Bank Operational Risk National Council member. Mr. Morris is the Director of Cameron County and Hidalgo County United Way, a teacher for the Valley Bankers Education Association, Director and Coach of the Rio Grande Valley Youth Soccer League, Executive Council Member of the Boy Scouts of the Rio Grande Valley, Founding Director of Leadership Mid Valley and Director of the American Heart Association of Cameron County. Prior to joining Vantage Bank Texas, he served as a Senior Executive Officer with several Rio Grande Valley banks serving in multiple capacities, including Chief Operating Officer, Chief Risk Officer, Commercial and Real Estate Lender, Special Assets Manager, Vice President and Cashier, and as a Director and Advisory Director of local Rio Grande Valley banks. Mr. Morris received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Dallas Baptist University. He is also a graduate from the School of Banking at Southern Methodist University Dallas, the ABA National Bank Operations Institute at Oklahoma University, the Advanced Bank Operations Institute at East Texas State University, the Advanced School of Banking at Texas Tech University, and the Anti Money Laundering Professional certification from Bank Administration Institute.
	Paul D. Thornton is an Advisory Board Member, Executive Vice President and Regional President for Vantage Bank Texas. Mr. Thornton has been in the banking industry for 26 years. Prior to joining Vantage Bank Texas, he served as Business Lending Market Manager for Sterling Bank. Prior to Sterling Bank, he served as President and Senior Credit Officer of Plaza Bank. Mr. Thornton is the treasurer of the William Ludwikowski Foundations and has been an Instructor for Junior Achievement for the past three years. He has been awarded the Texas State University “T” Association Hall of Honor for 2004 and the San Antonio Business Journal 40 Under 40 Rising Stars in 1998. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas State University.
